Yalezwa Singiswa- History forgot the women of June 76
"Today's generation is not doing as much as we did: there is too much material value put on what is going on in reality" Mam' Yalezwa Singiswa- June 1976 Activist. She was 15 years at the time.
When a participant asked her to define what she sees as democracy for her, she said, "I will not answer democracy according to the dictionary. I will answer it according to what I feel it to be. For as long as long as I know that there is a child who goes to school hungry because of economic differences, for me that is not democracy."
